David Prybyla, MD

Dr. Prybyla is in clinical practice at Orthopaedic Surgical Associates in North Chelmsford, MA. His interests are surgical and nonsurgical treatment of osteoarthritis of the hip and knee. He is affiliated with Lowell General Hospital, where he is the Medical Director of the orthopedic service line, leading the development of their joint replacement center. Dr. Prybyla has been an active member of the hospital’s Peer Review Committee as well as Operating Room committees. He is also affiliated with St. Vincent’s Hospital in Worcester, MA.

Dr. Prybyla has been board certified since 2003 in the field of orthopedic surgery. He is a fellow of the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.

Dr. Prybyla is a graduate of Yale University and Albany Medical College. He completed his residency training and research at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester. He then pursued subspecialty training in joint replacement, completing the Otto E. Aufranc Fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery a the New England Baptist Hospital. He has been practicing in North Chelmsford since 2008.

His current research interest is in perioperative pain management after total knee arthroplasty. In his spare time, he enjoys travelling with family and coaching his daughters’ basketball teams.
